MESSAGE #18 - AN OUNCE OF ACTION IS BETTER THAN A POUND OF THEORY

There are only two types of people:

#1. Those who do.

#2. Those who don’t.

THE DIFFERENCE: Those who do — DO and those who don’t — DON’T.

Many years ago, the great writer Upton Sinclair was scheduled to give a seminar on writing to students at Harvard University.

Just at 9:00 a.m., Sinclair walked into the classroom, opened his briefcase and looked around at 40 eager students.

He began by asking this question, “How many of you really want to make a career of writing?”

Every single person put a hand in the air.

Sinclair looked around the room, closed his briefcase, and said, “My advice to you is to go home and write.”

And with that he left!

You can think about writing; you can plan to write; you can want to write — but only writing is writing.

The words in this blog are worthless unless they motivate you to take action.

K – A = 0

Knowledge without Action equals Zero

As the great motivational speaker Darren Ventre says:

I – I = 0

Information without Inspiration equals Nothing

And of course, the inspiration means nothing unless it inspires ACTION!

Desire is a treasure map.

Knowledge is the treasure chest.

Wisdom is the jewel.

Yet, without action, they all stay buried.
