DEDICATION: Today’s message is especially dedicated to all the great salespeople who read this blog.
If you’re going to be a world-class salesperson, you’re going to need to develop powerful resilience muscles.
Every day you’re going to deal with rejection, but you’re going to bounce back. No matter what, you’re going to bounce back.
Here’s how the SUPERSTAR SALESPEOPLE deal with rejection . . .
SW-5
SW-1 (S = Some W = Will): You can be the world’s WORST salesperson and SOMEONE WILL buy from you. As the saying goes, “A blind squirrel will find an acorn every once in a while.”
SW-2 (Some Won’t): You can be the world’s BEST salesperson and someone won’t buy from you. As a matter of fact, a lot of someones won’t buy from you. The better the salesperson you are, the more rejection you’ll get. The more no’s you hear — the more $$$ you’ll make.
SW-3 (So What): What do the great salespeople say to themselves when they get rejected? If you get rejected — don’t get dejected. The great salespeople say, “SO WHAT.” No big deal. How can these salespeople do this? They realize that . . .
SW-4 (Someone’s Waiting): There’s always another possibility. There’s always another chance. The superstars realize that the more you tell — the more you’ll sell. So you have to . . .
SW-5 (Stick With it): Don’t give up. Don’t give in. Fight through it. Stick with it.
For many years I was the editor of Bits & Pieces magazine. This was the most popular piece we ever printed . . .
