MESSAGE #13 - YOU ARE A MARVEL!

The stories of Jason McElwain (Message # 12) and Gordon Thomas (Message #11) prove that we might be more gifted than we ever thought possible. What am I saying??? We are way more gifted than we ever believed to be true.

You are incredibly gifted. You have a mammoth amount of potential.

After all, you have the world’s greatest computer sitting right on top of your shoulders and you have the world’s greatest machine as a body.

Let’s focus on your mental potential . . . from The Owner’s Manual for the Brain by Pierce J. Howard, Ph.D. . . .

Our average brain capacity is 2.8 x 1020, or approximately 10 million volumes [books] of 1,000 pages each. This outrageous capacity mandates humility. I’ve heard people lament that they couldn’t learn any more, that their ‘brain is full.’ Yeah, right! There is no way that their brain is full. They have simply reached a point of fatigue and need a break for things to settle. Then, just as the body yearns for more once the last meal has been digested, we are always ready to learn more. I’ve never met a person who has reached the limits of his or her capacity to learn. I have, however, met plenty of folks who have quit learning.

As we’ll be talking about in future editions of this BLOG, you have all the ability you need already inside you. All you are lacking is the correct strategy.

A + ST = SKILL

Once you start training your innate Ability with the correct Strategy — you are going to become skilled.

Don’t believe me. Be cynical. Keep reading because I’m not going to just tell you this is true . . . you’re going to be proving it to yourself!

After all, you’re not going to believe what I say . . . you’re only going to believe what you do! And that’s the way it should be.

Most people get stuck at the very start — as the saying goes, “It’s the start that stops most people.”

The start: BELIEVE IN YOUR OWN ABILITY. Start believing and keep believing in your ability.

And what do we teach our children in school? We teach them that two and two make four and that Paris is the capital of France. When will we also teach them what they are? You should say to each of them: You are unique. In all the world there is no other child exactly like you. In the millions of years that have passed there has never been a child like you. And look at your body — what a wonder it is! Your legs, your arms, your cunning fingers, the way you move! You may be a Shakespeare, a Michelangelo, a Beethoven. You have the capacity for anything. Yes, you are a marvel.
