MESSAGE #285 - MY FAVORITE ENTERTAINERS

My favorite type of entertainment isn’t music or movies or magic.

My favorite type of entertainment is energy.

I love to go to events where the performers energize me.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t happen often.

But when it does -- it’s unforgettable.

Here are some of the top energizing events in my life . . .

Seeing the rock group The Who do the rock opera “Tommy.”

Watching Irish step dancer Michael Flately in “Riverdance,” “Lord of the Dance,” and “Celtic Tiger.”

Attending any seminar with business guru Tom Peters (please link).

Watching the Broadway show “Les Miserables.”

These were all live events.

Once in a while, the energy can be transmitted over TV. To tell you the truth, this almost never happens, but it did happen in 1998.

THE EVENT: the 1998 Winter Olympics at Nagano

THE PERFORMER: French figure skater Philippe Candeloro

THE EFFECT: ELECTRIFYING!!!

Here’s Philippe winning a bronze medal for portraying D’Artaganan from “The Three Musketeers” . . .
